I provide patient, structured one-to-one maths tuition for children, teenagers and adults who benefit from a different way of learning maths.

I adapt my teaching to help each learner understand the mathematics, rather than simply memorising steps. Depending on the learner and the topic, I use clear explanations, manageable steps, visual approaches and practical examples to make mathematical ideas meaningful.

My approach may be particularly helpful for learners who have gaps in their understanding, find conventional teaching difficult to follow, or need more time and a different way into a problem.

I hold a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). I also hold a Certificate in the Education of Those with Specific Learning Difficulties (Including Dyslexia), Parts I and II, completed through University College Worcester in September 1999.

Based in Christchurch, New Zealand, I offer online maths tuition to learners in New Zealand and internationally.
